Faculty of Chemical Engineering

Founded in 1948.
The importance of oil, gas and coal for the modern world is well known to everyone. Based on them, chemists have created tens of millions of man-made chemical compounds. The most modern cars, airplanes, spacecraft not only cannot operate without fuel; they consist of 40-50% of these new “chemical” materials. And there is more to come. The prospects for the development of new materials are simply fantastic, since the number of possible combinations of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen atoms is infinite.
The Faculty of Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest faculties in the University, which began training engineers in 1948. Professional processing of energy resources, ensuring the production safety and preserving the environment are the main tasks of a specialist-technologist. The Faculty trains bachelors and masters in the fields of oil processing and petrochemistry, chemical cybernetics, biotechnology, ecology and industrial safety.
Graduates of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering work in such companies as Gazprom, Bashneft, Rosneft, Lukoil, at oil refineries and petrochemical plants, in laboratories, in research institutes and design organizations in Russia and abroad.
