Institute of Oil&Gas Engineering and Digital Technology

Founded in 1952.

Institute of Oil&Gas Engineering and Digital Technology (previously called the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) trains future specialists responsible for the stability of the machinery and equipment of the fuel and energy complex.

In the process of training, the students receive theoretical knowledge and acquire practical skills in the design, manufacture, installation, operation, repair of oil and gas and petrochemical equipment, its corrosion protection, fire and industrial safety and protection in emergency situations at enterprises of the fuel and energy complex.

The Institute’s graduates find employment at the leading oil and gas, oil refining and construction and installation companies in Russia and abroad: Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz, Bashneft, Vostokneftezavodmontazh, Orenburg Drilling Company, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and many others.

The Institute’s staff conduct a large amount of scientific research in the key priority areas of science and technology. Young men and women, who are seriously interested in science, take an active part in these research projects.
