Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering

Founded in 1948.

The Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering is one of the oldest faculties of USPTU. Here we train personnel who provide the foundation of the oil and gas complex.

The Faculty has modern laboratory facilities and an up-to-date research and methodological base. The educational building houses a functioning drilling rig, training complexes for well drilling and workover, computer simulators for drilling, oil and gas production, gathering and treatment, geological and hydrodynamic modeling laboratories equipped with modern computer systems.

The Faculty’s graduates work at the largest enterprises of the oil and gas complex of Russia (Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Transneft, Bashneft, Tatneft, BURINTEKH and others) and foreign companies (Shell, Exxon Mobile, Schlumberger, Halliburton, etc.).
