Internationalization Strategy
A strategic direction for USPTU development in the field of international cooperation is the implementation of a comprehensive internationalization programme.
Internationalization includes the following aspects:
- The availability of strategy and plan for the development of internationalization.
- The integration of internationalization into the University development strategy.
- Level of involvement of the University’s senior officials in the project.
- Quality of management infrastructure of international departments.
- Quality of information support of the internationalization process.
Internationalization covers all areas of the University’s activity:
- Educational process,
- Research and development,
- Social life,
- Pedagogical work.
The main directions of internationalization are as follows:
- Joint international educational programmes (including networked Master's programmes).
- International accreditation of programmes.
- USPTU Honorary Professors (graduates).
- The development of international student fraternities, student government, the involvement in USPTU Graduate Student Association .
- The introduction of English-taught programs into the educational process.
- Training of international students on the basis of additional educational programmes, including vocational training programmes.
Internationalization goals:
- Strengthening of USPTU international image, the participation in international rankings.
- The increase in the number of international students.
- Cooperation with partners from SCO and BRICS countries, the creation of networked forms of education, double degree programmes.
- The expansion of academic mobility programmes.
- The attraction of graduates from overseas universities to studying at Master's and PhD programs.
- The attraction of foreign partners to funding of research, strengthening of USPTU material base.
- The development of training of international students and other aspects of internationalization in the University’s branches.
- The increase in the number of foreign teachers and researchers.
- The support of SPE Student Chapters.
