Founded in 1994.
Institute of Additional Professional Education is a leading institution in the field of additional vocational education for specialists from the fuel and energy and construction sectors, where annually more than five thousand engineering and technical workers of the largest associations, enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Federation and foreign countries undergo advanced training and professional retraining.
The Institute offers more than 250 professional retraining and advanced training programs in the following areas:
• Oil and gas field engineering
• Transportation and storage of oil, oil products and gas
• Chemical technology for hydrocarbon raw materials processing
• Automation and power engineering of oil and gas production
• Corrosion protection of equipment and structures of the oil and gas complex and petrochemical equipment technology
• Design, installation, operation and repair of process machinery and equipment for oil and gas enterprises
• Technosphere safety of oil and gas enterprises and environmental protection
• Economics and management at the fuel and energy complex enterprises

More than 200 USPTU’s leading professors and associate professors as well as chief scientists and specialists from other universities, enterprises and institutions are involved in the educational process.
Throughout the whole training process, modern information technologies, electronic teaching materials, applied software packages, multimedia tools, video animation films, professional information systems are widely used. The Institute publishes a large amount of educational and methodological literature for the Institute’s students.
Programs can be mastered in various formats: offthe-job, on-the-job, fully or partially in the form of
an internship. Modular and distance educational technologies are used.
